répondre aux besoins, aspirations et désirs des retraités par des activités de loisirs, de culture et de solidarité ; lutter contre l'ennui l'isolement la solitude et tout ce qui contribue à l'affaiblissement de la vie sociale en développant entre les retraités un lien social enrichi par des pratiques communes et la créativité de chacun ; ces activités sont de natures diverses et complémentaires : sorties, visites, voyages, séjours, spectacles, expositions, pratiques physiques, sportives, artistiques, intellectuelles ou manuelles, jeux de sociétés, rencontres conviviales etc ; en opposition avec les offres de consommation ou celles qui marginalisent les retraités elles sont des pratiques émancipatrices de solidarité de partage de savoirs d'initiation à la réalisation par les retraités eux-mêmes pour un enrichissement mutuel ; elles occupent ainsi une place particulière et d'avenir dans le champ associatif ; l'association LSR est indépendante et développe son action avec tous types de partenaires utiles à son activité qu'ils soient institutionnels associatifs syndicaux culturels ou sportifs dans le respect réciproque. Elle s'inscrit totalement dans la vie sociale de la cité
