regrouper les malades atteints de glaucome afin de les informer, leur porter assistance et les aider à surmonter la maladie et à défendre leurs intérêts ; favoriser le diagnostic précoce en informant les patients, leurs familles, les professionnels médicaux et paramédicaux sur le glaucome, ses différentes formes, son dépistage et sa prévention ; informer et sensibiliser les pouvoirs publics sur la spécificité et l'étendue des atteintes de cette maladie ; participer activement à l'effort de recherche en mettant en oeuvre, au travers d'un comité scientifique, toutes les actions permettant de soutenir, promouvoir, encourager et faciliter la recherche thérapeutique
