l'association des amis de l'orgue de la vendée qui avait été fondée en 1969 pour faire connaître l'orgue Cavaillé-coll de la cathédrale de luçon, les autres instruments de vendée, l'orgue, la littérature d'orgue, la musique sacrée sous toutes ses formes et en générale toute expression musicale et pour promouvoir la construction, l'entretien et l'amélioration des orgues du département devient orgues en vendée. l'association réunit les personnes ou les associations locales d'amis de l'orgue qui auront adhéré aux présents statuts. l'association a pour but la coordination, l'entraide et la coopération entre les associations locales dont l'un des buts est l'activité culturelle autour d'un instrument ; la promotion de l'orgue à tuyaux en vendée pour l'aide à l'élargissement, l'entretien ou la restructuration du patrimoine vendéen, la valorisation du patrimoine musical ancien ou nouveau lié à l'orgue
